This is a Canadian Red Cross, Nationally recognized Remote First Aid course. It is an experientially driven 20 hr (Remote First Aid course, RFA) course designed for individuals who will be participating in remote activities within 1-3 hours from organized health care.
This course will enable participants to have an appreciation for the realities of providing First Aid in a wilderness and remote environment. Emphasis will be on leadership and the decision making process, physical assessment and the application of the hard skills of first aid.
The courses will take place almost entirely outside rain, snow or shine so come prepared. The RFA course (20 hrs) in includes an evening and two days.
